About this place

A large room with its own bathroom on the upper floor of a renovated house in central Concepción, a few blocks from the main square and the pedestrian shopping streets.

You share the kitchen, the dining room and a small patio with three other students. The owner lives nearby and comes once a week to clean the shared areas.

Buses to campus stop two blocks away. The trip takes about 15 minutes, a little more at rush hour.

  She owns the house: current title certificate from the Concepción property registrar (Conservador de Bienes Raíces), issued in the 30 days before our visit.

  Electric oil heater in the room, tested on the day. The shared areas have a heat pump that also cools in summer.

  Gas water heater for the whole house. Hot water reached the private shower in about a minute.

  Worth knowing An old damp stain on the bathroom ceiling, cleaned and painted over. The extractor fan works: use it after every shower.

  Worth knowing Both windows open, close and latch. They're single-glazed, as in most older houses downtown, so the room cools down quickly on winter nights.

  Front door with two locks and a gate to the street. The room has its own lock and key.

  Fibre connection. We measured 190 Mbps over Wi-Fi in the room.

  Double bed, desk, chair, wardrobe and a bookshelf, as in the photos.

We don't check noise, the neighbours or how the street feels at night, and nothing that changes after our visit. Your own sealed photos when you move in cover those changes.
